A client's French Bull dog had passed away unexpectedly shortly after having surgery. The owner was heartbroken after his driving companion wasn't riding with him anymore.
One of the absolute best parts of being an artist is being able to capture life and make the most out of emotional connections. To make a melancholy moment into something whimsical that will last a lifetime time.
The client was ecstatic with the results and was happy to have a part of his buddy still with him. The pup's name was "Gus the Destroyer". Here's to you, bud.
This commission, even though the beginning was sad, was so much fun and the first-time l had done anything like it.
